Created in 2004 by the artisans Jorge Barrachina and Alex Gonzalez, and with the invaluable help of the designer Pedro Rodriguez and the varnisher Raul Cobo, PRK Percussions rises from the idea of offering a cajon that is able to accompany, with the right quality, to the professional percussionist. This feature turns PRK Percussions into an example of different cajon, special and unique. Our experience has helped us to adapt our work to the precision required for this, and to select the best materials, to suit both the needs of the instrument and the ecological needs of our planet. As a result, our wood fulfills a certificate of controlled and sustainable exploitation. The audio description of a PRK percussions cajon could be summarized in a high intensity and harmonic simplicity. His sharp, slightly broken, recalls the palmas and zapateado of flamenco. Its touch is gentle, fast and fresh. It has a generous low, and it covers from the driest registers to the longest and more affable ones, depending on the will of the percussionist. Its versatility makes it so appropriate for an intimist accompaniment and also for the wildest of discharges.
